Subject: It's time for "Zaius and Monkerstein's Simian Secret Santa"!

Hey, do you want to do the "Zaius and Monkerstein's Simian Secret Santa" thing again this year? If so, write me back and I will make a new post for it. (Italics added) I almost forgot, but Germaine Gregarious and Dguzman reminded me.

I'll do a post about it later night. I'll tell people to email me if they want in and I'll give them until Wed. at midnight eastern to get in. Then I'll match people up on Thursday and I'll monitor who did and who did not get things for their person. Okay?

In the meantime Dr. Monkerstein adds a post that has now been changed...

No, actually the person is supposed to enter their email address in the comments of the blog I created last year. You know, like what it says on the blog itself, the one we used last year, the link to which I supplied you in my previous email. The whole thing is now yours alone by the very definition of your new rules.

You seem to have decided to take the Secret Santa Online Gift Exchange, which was Germaine Gregarious's idea in the first place, and just make it your own personal vehicle. Now that you have already posted it, you can't change it. I am angry that you would do this without at least discussing it with me, however. It's all yours now, you've seen to that. You might as well take my name off of it. (Emphasis added.)

You should have at consulted me though, instead of just posting your new rules and then sending me an email as an afterthought.

Wow, I'm sorry for hurting your feelings but I thought it might run smoother this way. I remembered those folks who got shafted last year and I wanted to make sure it didn't happen again, that's all. It was not a coup attempt on my part at all. I have the time to match up people and send out emails so that's why I did it this way. Again, I apologize for taking it over.

Despite your brief response, I see no logical reason why the format had to be changed, nor why you went ahead without a response from me for such a drastic change, and your explanation does not serve people that were not responded to in a better fashion than previously at all. As a matter of fact, it merely makes those that respond even more anonymous. This would only have the effect of increasing the very issue that you claim as a reason to make the project completely your own.

I am further disturbed by the fact that you also do not address the fact the you have usurped the original intent of the project in any real way in your response. **Please explain to me how I am even supposed to be involved in the project at this point.** Where is the part of the project that I am even involved?

It is now your project, you have insured that I have no part of it. I can only say that I feel that this is a very weak response on your part.

I am guessing that what they say about you is true, and I am very disappointed. Passive aggressive much?

You mean you are just now finding out that everything that "they" say about me is true? It's all true. Whatever they say.

It's been a year since we did this secret Santa thing and I forgot how it worked, so fucking sue me. I did email you yesterday with the changes I made to it but I never heard from you so I assumed that what I had laid out in my email was satisfactory. Boy was I wrong. I'm sorry for being a usurper and for fucking up your brilliant idea. I apologize. What acts of contrition would you like me to to do to show you how sorry I am?

I'm not going to waste any more time arguing or sending emails back and forth over this. I'm sorry I fucked it up, I'm sorry you got mad, and I'll never ever do it again.

I'll redo the post and take your name off it and if it causes you any more inconvenience I'd advise you to see a medical professional.

Gee, you will gladly steal Germaine Gregarious' idea and the claim it as your own? I underestimated you.

Yes, you did underestimate me. I am an evil genius.

Remember this exactly, that Dr. Monkerstein's big consession is that he will remove the name of the creators of a a project that is not his idea in the first place, and gladly take on the project name as his alone. Somehow it is my fault that in the end I asked that the project remain true to Germaine gregarious' original vision, and that I need to seek the aide of a medical professional because I dared to question the unsolicited advice of Dr. Monkerstein on this matter.

It is hooplah like this that has made me want to give up blogging in the past, and I may just do that. I grow weary of this kind of crap... and I will ask Germaine Gregarious' advice on the matter.
